At CES 2026, Dreame Technology unveiled the Dreame Leaptic Cube, a modular 8K AI action camera designed to offer flexibility, high-resolution video, and intelligent imaging. With a detachable camera module and a 2.27-inch touchscreen display for remote monitoring, the Leaptic Cube allows creators to shoot from new angles while maintaining professional-quality results.

Dreame Leaptic Cube Features
The Leaptic Cube captures video in up to 8K resolution at 30fps, giving it a clear advantage over competitors that are mostly limited to 4K. It also supports 4K at 60fps with HDR and 4K at 120fps for ultra-smooth slow-motion footage.
Equipped with a 1/1.3-inch, 50-megapixel sensor and a 155-degree wide-angle lens, the camera improves low-light performance and dynamic range, rated at an impressive 13.5 stops, making it ideal for professional-quality shooting in diverse conditions.
At the core of the Leaptic Cube is a Qualcomm 8-core AI image processor. This processor enables real-time scene analysis, automatic exposure adjustments, and GyroSteady AI stabilization, ensuring smooth, stable video even during fast action. Additionally, the AI processor refines color and detail post-capture, reducing the need for extensive editing.
The Dreame Leaptic Cube offers multiple ways to control recording. Users can rely on the touchscreen, mobile app, or voice and gesture controls for hands-free operation. Its modular design also allows creative mounting solutions, from helmets to drones or handheld rigs, giving content creators unmatched versatility.
The camera comes with built-in storage options of 64GB or 128GB, expandable via a microSD card slot in the display unit, supporting up to 1TB. The standalone camera module has a battery life of around 90 minutes, which can extend to approximately 220 minutes when paired with the external battery dock, ensuring uninterrupted recording for longer projects.
Dreame has announced that the Leaptic Cube will launch on Kickstarter soon, with pre-orders already open. The pre-order price is $269 with a $5 deposit, $50 off the eventual Super Early Bird price. Retail is expected to start at around $439, with North American shipping planned for 2026.
The Dreame Leaptic Cube brings a fresh approach to action cameras with its modular design, 8K recording, and AI-powered features. Its flexibility, high-resolution imaging, and smart stabilization make it a compelling choice for creators looking for a versatile and professional-quality camera. With a Kickstarter launch imminent, the Leaptic Cube is set to become a highly anticipated addition to the action camera market.
