Motorola has officially entered the Indian smartwatch segment with the launch of the Moto Watch, introduced alongside the Motorola Signature smartphone. With this launch, Motorola is focusing on blending classic watch styling with advanced health and fitness tracking, powered by Polar’s well-known wellness platform. The Moto Watch targets users who want reliable health insights, durable design, and long battery life without sacrificing everyday usability.
The Moto Watch features a premium aluminum body paired with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, giving it a solid and refined look. It comes with a 1.4-inch circular OLED display that supports more than 24 always-on watch faces, allowing users to personalize the watch according to their style.

Motorola is offering the smartwatch in six different variants. Buyers can choose between Matte Black and Matte Silver cases, paired with stainless steel, vegan leather, or silicone straps. Strap color options include PANTONE Volcanic Ash, Parachute Purple, Herbal Garden, and Mocha Mousse, giving users a wide range of aesthetic choices.
The Moto Watch is designed for everyday wear and light outdoor use. It carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance along with 1ATM water resistance, making it suitable for daily activities such as workouts, rain exposure, and occasional splashes. The watch has a 47mm dial size and weighs 35 grams without the strap, keeping it comfortable despite its solid build.
A major highlight of the Moto Watch is its integration with Polar’s health and wellness platform. This brings a more advanced and data-driven approach to fitness tracking. The smartwatch automatically tracks workouts and continuously monitors heart rate and SpO₂ levels.
Sleep tracking is also a key focus, with detailed analysis supported by Polar’s Nightly ANS recharge insights. These insights help users understand how well their body recovers overnight, offering a clearer picture of overall wellness.
For outdoor activities, the Moto Watch includes dual-band GPS with L1 and L5 support, improving accuracy during runs, walks, and cycling sessions. The sensor setup is comprehensive and includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, PPG sensor, ambient light sensor, and an e-compass.
An onboard microphone and speaker are also included, enabling additional smartwatch functions that enhance daily usability.
Battery performance is another strong point of the Moto Watch. Under standard usage conditions, it can last up to 13 days on a single charge. With the always-on display enabled, battery life drops to around seven days, which is still competitive for a smartwatch with an OLED screen.
Fast charging support ensures convenience, with Motorola claiming that just five minutes of charging can deliver enough power for a full day of use.
The Moto Watch is compatible with Android 12 and above and connects via Bluetooth 5.3 with BLE support. In terms of hardware, it comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal eMMC storage, which is sufficient for smartwatch operations and data storage.
The Moto Watch will go on sale in India starting January 30 at 12 PM. It will be available through Motorola’s official website and Flipkart. The silicone strap variants are priced at Rs. 5,999, while the stainless steel and vegan leather options are priced at Rs. 6,999.
With the Moto Watch, Motorola is making a calculated entry into India’s competitive smartwatch market. The combination of classic design, durable build, long battery life, and Polar-powered health insights gives it a strong identity. For users looking for a balanced smartwatch focused on wellness tracking and everyday reliability, the Moto Watch stands out as a compelling new option in its price segment.
