Australian and West Indian parents gave birth to Aminah Hart in London. Helen, Aminah's mother, left the country when she was a little child in order to escape poverty. Aminah was raised in Melbourne, Australia, where she started her advertising career.
When Aminah was in her twenties, she went to London in search of her father, Tony, only to discover he had passed away a few years earlier. She remained in London for many years, getting married and having a son named Marlon, who passed away at the age of three due to a congenital illness.
After her marriage ended, Aminah moved back to Melbourne and gave birth to another boy, Louis, who passed away from the same congenital condition. After numerous IVF tries, Aminah eventually became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter named Leila. Later, Aminah established a meeting with Scott, the father of Leila's anonymous donor, after learning his name. In December 2015, they were married after falling in love.
