A security measure used to guard against unauthorised access to your device is the iPhone activation lock. You must take the following actions to remove the activation lock:
Contact the Previous Owner
If you bought a used iPhone that was still locked, you should try getting in touch with the prior owner and ask them to unlock it. They will have to get into their iCloud account and deactivate the device there.
Use iCloud
If you are unable to get in touch with the prior owner, you can unlock the device's activation via iCloud website. Enter your Apple ID to log in to iCloud website. Next, select the iPhone you want to unlock the activation lock on by clicking "Find My iPhone" after choosing it. Select "Erase iPhone" and then confirm your choice. The iPhone's activation lock will be removed and all data will be erased.
Use iTunes
iTunes can be used to unlock the activation lock if you are unable to use iCloud. Join your iPhone to a computer running iTunes. After that, to put your iPhone into DFU mode, hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds, release the Power button, and hold the Home button for an additional 5 seconds. As soon as your iPhone enters recovery mode, iTunes will alert you and ask you to restore it. The activation lock will be removed if you select the option to return the iPhone to its default settings.
It's crucial to remember that removing the activation lock without the right permission is prohibited and may have consequences. It's usually advisable to buy a device from a reliable vendor, and to check that the activation lock has been removed before making the payment.
