Lenovo has expanded its YOGA ecosystem with the launch of its new YOGA True Wireless (TWS) Noise-Cancelling Earbuds. Announced in China on March 18, these earbuds focus on practical everyday features like seamless connectivity, reliable audio performance, and effective noise cancellation rather than flashy design or gimmicks.
The new YOGA TWS earbuds are priced at 599 yuan (around $86), placing them firmly in the competitive mid-range segment.
One of the standout highlights of these earbuds is their deep integration with YOGA laptops. Lenovo describes the feature as “DNA-level recognition,” which might sound like marketing language, but in real-world usage, it simply means instant pairing.
When paired with compatible YOGA laptops, the earbuds connect automatically as soon as you open the case—no manual setup required. This is similar to how premium ecosystems work, making it especially convenient for users already invested in Lenovo’s YOGA lineup.
Additionally, the earbuds support dual-device connectivity, allowing users to stay connected to both a laptop and smartphone simultaneously. This makes switching between devices—like attending a meeting on your laptop and answering a call on your phone—smooth and hassle-free.
For audio performance, Lenovo has equipped the earbuds with 12.2mm dual-magnetic drivers. While the standard 20Hz–20kHz frequency range doesn’t push any boundaries, it should comfortably handle everyday listening needs, from music and videos to podcasts.
The tuning appears to prioritize balanced sound rather than heavy bass or sharp highs, making these earbuds suitable for casual users who want a consistent listening experience without too much coloration.
The earbuds come with active noise cancellation (ANC) rated up to -40dB, which should be effective in reducing background noise like traffic, office chatter, or ambient hum.
For calls, each earbud is equipped with three microphones supported by environmental noise cancellation (ENC). This setup is designed to ensure clearer voice pickup, even in noisy surroundings—an important feature for remote work and daily communication.
Battery performance is another area where the YOGA TWS earbuds deliver solid numbers:
There’s also fast charging support, where just 10 minutes of charging can provide around 2 hours of playback. This is particularly useful for users who are always on the move.
With an IPX4 rating, the earbuds are resistant to splashes and sweat, making them suitable for workouts, commutes, and light rain. The overall design remains minimal and understated, aligning with the YOGA brand’s clean aesthetic.
The YOGA TWS Noise-Cancelling Earbuds were launched in China at 599 yuan (approximately $86). As of now, there’s no official confirmation about global availability, but given Lenovo’s broader market presence, a wider rollout could happen in the future.
Lenovo’s YOGA TWS earbuds don’t aim to reinvent the wheel, but they do focus on getting the essentials right. With features like instant pairing, dual-device connectivity, -40dB ANC, and reliable battery life, they offer a well-rounded package for everyday users.
For those already using YOGA laptops, the seamless integration could be a major advantage. While they may not stand out with groundbreaking specs, they deliver where it matters—usability, convenience, and balanced performance.
