DJI, best known for its market-leading drones and advanced imaging technology, has taken a bold step into the smart home appliance market with the launch of its first robot vacuum lineup — the Romo series. Leveraging its expertise in robotics and high-precision sensing, DJI aims to redefine home cleaning with performance and intelligence far beyond traditional robot vacuums.
The new series includes three models — Romo S, Romo A, and Romo P — each designed to cater to different needs while sharing DJI’s core innovations in navigation, suction power, and smart functionality.

At the heart of the Romo series is a dual fisheye visual system combined with three wide-angle solid-state LiDAR sensors, delivering millimeter-level obstacle avoidance. DJI claims the system can detect objects as thin as 2mm — from wires and furniture legs to pet waste — and maneuver around them effortlessly.
This obstacle avoidance technology works reliably in both bright and dim lighting conditions, a challenge for many robot vacuums. By adapting drone-level sensing to a household environment, DJI brings a new level of cleaning precision to everyday spaces.
All Romo models boast an impressive 25,000Pa suction power, a 164ml onboard water tank for wet mopping, and a 260ml dustbin for dry debris. A dual anti-tangle roller brush minimizes hair entanglement, reducing maintenance, while dual flexible mechanical arms ensure 100% edge coverage, cleaning right up to walls and corners.
Users can choose from four cleaning modes:
With a 5,000mAh battery, the Romo runs for up to three hours in quiet vacuum mode. A 55W fast charging system recharges it fully in about 2.5 hours.
The Romo P base station includes:
All base stations feature self-cleaning, Bluetooth 5.1, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
Through the DJI Home App, users can access video calling, voice assistant control, remote video monitoring, and intelligent carpet detection. All Romo models carry TÜV SÜD baby-grade certification, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety for households with children and pets.
The Romo series is now available in China via JD.com, with international availability yet to be announced.
By bringing its drone navigation expertise to robot vacuums, DJI has delivered a series that blends precision sensing, powerful cleaning, and smart automation. With the Romo lineup, the company isn’t just entering the home appliance market — it’s raising the bar for what a robot vacuum can do.
